Andy Briscoe

Andy joined IT-Freedom in 2011.  He is a successful CEO and Non-Executive Director with experience in both regulated and non-regulated industries and with a strong track record managing large organisations as well as start-ups and turnarounds.

He is also currently Strategic Adviser to The Carlyle Group where he originated and led the acquisition of RAC in June 2011.

Prior to Carlyle, Andy was Founder and CEO of Life Trust Holdings plc, an international financial services company backed by JP Morgan, Royal Bank of Scotland and the DE Shaw Group.  He was with Centrica plc for six years as Managing Director AA Insurance Services, the UK’s largest General Insurance Intermediary, and AA Board Member, after joining the group as Managing Director Goldfish.  Prior to Centrica, he was Sales Director and Operating Board Member of BUPA, Assistant General Manager Clerical Medical and with American Express in sales, marketing and general management.

Andy attained an MBA from Cranfield in 1986 after an initial career with US management consultants Alexander Proudfoot.
