Peter Bramhill

Peter joined IT-Freedom as a Non-Executive Director in 2007. He has over 35 years of IT experience combining a business knowledge of insurance, aviation, manufacturing, accounting, administration in private and public sectors with consultancy and management expertise.
His particular strengths are in representing IT to Board level management, general senior IT management, strategic planning, business process re-engineering, change management, migration strategies, package evaluations and high level project management, including Programme Management.
Prior to joining IT-Freedom, Peter enjoyed a career in IT in insurance, including:
IT Director of Groupama Insurances. One of the most innovative and fast growing P&C insurance companies in the financial services sector. During Peter’s time at Groupama, he reshaped the IT department, replaced over 20 old legacy systems and saw the growth of eCommerce and web-based trading and undertaken a complete overhaul of the IT infrastructure, leading to a 40% reduction in costs and 22% fewer staff.
Previously Head of Personal Lines IT at ITT London & Edinburgh (now part of Norwich Union), he was responsible for all major strategic projects in this General Insurance company - including mission critical systems to support new business ventures.
Before joining ITT he was a Consultancy Practice Manager with CMG, responsible for sales and major account management for blue-chip UK composite insurance companies, running project teams concerned with general insurance, investment management, life and pensions and property systems.
